The Nu Guide: Sports, friction, chafing, and the rest!

Have you ever wondered how you can make that friction or chafing feel more comfortable when you participate in leisure activities?

No matter whether it’s hiking in the hills with friends or jumping on a bike at your local spin class, using Nu Balm can help protect skin from sweat-related irritation and also prevent chafing.

Chafing is a common skin issue that can occur due to friction caused by clothing, skin-on-skin contact, or other activities.

Oil-based products such as Nu Balm are an effective way to prevent chafing. Our product is designed to reduce friction and create a protective barrier between the skin and clothing.

It can be applied directly to the skin and provide a layer of lubrication that helps reduce the amount of friction between the two surfaces.

The most common areas for chafing during running, for example, is your armpits, nipples and groin areas.

What many women don’t talk about is that your vulva can be easily irritated by clothing, long periods of running, or general friction from the build up of sweat.

Tips to prevent chafing:

  1. Wear good quality underwear with breathable fabrics 

  2. Wear garments without seams and tags to limit areas of potential friction

  4. Wear a proper fitted exercise bra
